| Directions to the event There is a good deal of road construction going on in Vermillion at this time so we ask that you review the map and directions. The construction is taking place on Cherry Street from Dakota street to the west edge of town. Coming from the east on Hwy 50: If you are coming in from the east you should have no problem getting to the event if you take either Crawford Road or Plum Street south to Main Street. Once you are on main just head west and you won’t be able to miss us downtown. Coming from the West on Hwy 50: While the road on Cherry Street is still passable for most cars, if you are pulling a trailer or are driving a classic car you may want to consider taking one of two alternate routes. The easiest would be to take the business district exit that will head you directly downtown. Make sure to turn right on the Main Street exit that runs pass the Winery. The other route is marked on our map. If you happen to come in on the Hwy 50 bypass, turn south on Princeton Street right before Wal-Mart go to Cherry street and take a left at the stop light, go east 1 block to High Street and head south and you will find us from there. Coming from the north on Hwy 19: You will not be able to cross Cherry Street on Hwy 19 so we recommend taking a left on Hwy 50 and them a right on Princeton in front of Wal-Mart, continue to Cherry street and take a left at the stop light, go east 1 block to High Street and head south and you will find us from there. Our Nebraska visitors: If you are crossing our new Missouri River bridge on Hwy 19, take a right when you reach Hwy 50 and take another right at the "Y" intersection at Main Street, follow Main Street east until you see our big tent. |
| Other Information Friday BBQ Team Registration: Team and vendor registration will be held downtown at the Three Rivers Business Development Building at 116 Market Street. (1.5 blocks south of Main) from 8am until 6pm. Set-up will start at 7am. Friday Poker Run Registration: Friday nights poker run will be from 5-6pm at Henderson’s Exhaust Plus located just south of Wal-Mart on Princeton. You will be able to park in the old Pamida parking lot located across the street. The best way to get there is to take Hwy 50 to Wal-Mart and head south from there. Saturday Drive-in Breakfast & Show & Shine registration: We recommend getting to the event early to get a good spot to park your rod. We will be hosting a breakfast from 8am-10am under the big tent on Main Street and will be doing registrations for the Show & Shine at the same location. There will be people there to park you so if you want to park next to a buddy let them know. We will do our best to accommodate everyone. Most of the Cars will be parked east of the tent but we have opened an expansion area to the west of the tent in front of the Court House on Main for those that are not able to join us early on Saturday. Peoples Choice Ticket Sales: A limited number of peoples choice tickets will be made available to those that are interested sampling some of the product produced by our KCBS BBQ contestants. For just $10 you can purchase a judges kit and ballot to sample BBQ pork from some of the best BBQ cooks in the world. The People’s Choice trophy will go to the contestant receiving the most votes. You can help choose the winner. Tickets go on sale at the information tent, noon Saturday. Parking and shuttle service: We have set up several spots to park once things fill up downtown. We will provide shuttle service at the following locations marked on the map. Pamida parking lot across from Henderson’s Exhaust Plus, Wal-Mart parking lot and the parking areas around the Clay County Fair Grounds. Vermillion Public Transit will be providing the shuttle service. If you need to reach a VPT dispatcher please call 624-7433. |
